Mining Ball Mill

Mining ball mills are widely used for grinding medium-hard ores and other materials in industries such as building materials, chemical engineering, cement, silicate products, new building materials, refractories, chemical fertilizers, ferrous and non-ferrous mineral processing, glass and ceramics.

According to the processing technology, mining ball mills are divided into two grinding types: dry ball mills and wet ball mills.

Working principle

This ball mill is a horizontal cylindrical rotating device driven by peripheral gears and designed as a two-compartment grate ball mill. Materials are evenly fed into the first compartment through the hollow feeding shaft screw of the feeding unit. The first compartment is fitted with stepped or corrugated liners and filled with steel balls of various sizes. As the cylinder rotates, centrifugal force lifts the steel balls to a certain height, which then fall down to strike and grind the materials. After primary coarse grinding in the first compartment, materials pass through the single-layer partition board into the second compartment. This compartment is equipped with flat liners and steel balls for further fine grinding. The finished powder is discharged through the discharge grate plate, completing the grinding process.
